Craniosacral Therapy

“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Craniosacral Therapy or CST, is a gentle, hands-on therapy that taps into the body’s own natural self-corrective ability to create balance and wellness in the nervous system.
The goal of CST is to free up restrictions inside the skull and the spine, thus relieving stress, decreasing pain, and enhancing overall health in the central nervous system. A properly functioning central nervous system determines how relaxed, capable, and resilient the health of an individual will be throughout life.
Manipulation

“Bones are slaves to soft tissue.”
John E. Upledger, D.O.
The art of manipulation, or realigning bones, is thousands of years old and has lineages that connect from Asia, India, Europe, and the Americas. It is truly one of the most traditional forms of healthcare used around the world even to this day.
Benefits historically include helping a myriad of health conditions that are often associated with musculoskeletal imbalances that can then affect all the other systems of the body, most notably the nervous, endocrine, immune, and circulatory systems.
Acupuncture

“To balance is to heal. To harmonize is to regulate. The needle and herb can harmonize any sickness.”
The Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine
The art and science of TCM is very wide and deep and to simplify, includes five main branches:
Acupuncture/Moxibustion, Tai qi/ Qi gong exercise practices, Tuina (Chinese massage, manipulation, cupping, Gua sha), Chinese diet/nutrition and herbs (sometimes called Oriental Medicine).
